Founded by Kevin Chon in 2013, Coop Home Goods has become an online leader in the pillow market. Their success isn’t surprising either, as they have aimed to create pillows that relieve pain and pressure when sleeping.
Coop Home Goods offers a wide range of pillows designed to suit and be customized to various needs. Their manufacturing processes are also cruelty-free, and their products are US-made and hypoallergenic, making them an excellent ethical choice.
Notability: unlike many other pillow brands, many Coop Home Goods products are customizable to the user’s needs. This is possible because they provide additional filling or foam pads that can be added or removed at will to alter the height and firmness of the pillow.
An independent review of the Coop Home Goods Pillow Range
Coop Home Goods Original Pillow
The original Coop Home Goods pillow is hugely popular throughout the US and the UK. It comes complete with a whole half pound of the additional filling, which means it can easily be customized to the needs of the person using it, making it higher or lower on demand.
The original Coop Home Goods pillow is filled with a comfortable mix of microfiber and memory foam. All of these are CertiPUR-US certified and hypoallergenic, making them a great choice for those with sensitivities.
The cover of the Original Coop Home Goods Pillow is crafted from breathable, quilted, and machine-washable Lulltra fabric, designed to keep the user cool while sleeping.
Like all COOP pillows, the Original includes a 100-night sleep trial and a 5-year limited warranty. If you decide you don’t like it after using it for a while, you can get your money back with no questions asked.
Best suited to:
- Side sleepers because of its medium-firm level of support
- Those who like to be able to customize their pillow for the best night’s sleep
- It is not ideal for those who enjoy a soft pillow, and this may not be the best choice. Try the Eden, as described below, instead.
Coop Home Goods Eden Pillow
The Coop Home Goods Eden Pillow is as popular as The Original version. Its key difference is that it has a soft firmness rating rather than medium-firm (which the original has). This pillow also includes a clever gusset all the way around, something that makes it even better at keeping its shape throughout the night, no matter how much the user moves about.
Comparable to the comfort of using a pillow filled with feather down, the Eden is soft and luxuriant. The good news is that unlike down, it’s also hypoallergenic.
Like many Coops Home Goods pillow range products, the Eden is also customizable. Unzip its Lulltra cover and add or remove the filling until the user achieves sleep perfection.
The Lulltra cover is also designed to be soft and luxurious and keep the user cool during the night, further aiding a great night’s sleep. Indeed, many people love the Lulltra fabric so much that they don’t need an additional pillowcase. Of course, the Lulltra cover can easily be machine-washed for hygiene and comfort.
Best suited to:
- Those with neck pain – because of its adjustable nature
- Those that run hot at night – because of its Lulltra cooling case
- Those that sleep on their back or stomach – because of its softness
Coop Home Goods Original Body Pillow
All the extra width and length of the Coop Home Goods Body Pillow make it more comfortable and supportive than others on the market.
This pillow is specially designed to be customized to the individual’s knee and arm placement, which provides welcome relief for those joints and a great night’s sleep.
Typical of the Coop pillow range, the 20″ x 54″ body pillow is hypoallergenic and made from CertiPUR-US Certified foam. This means it’s safe for children and pregnant and nursing women. It also comes with a Lulltra cover, designed to keep the user cool throughout the night, making it ideal for those in hot climates and folks whose partners prefer a warmer room to sleep in at night.
Another great feature of the Coop body pillow is that it is washable, which means you can keep it fresh and clean no matter how long you own it.
Best suited for:
- Pregnant and nursing women – because of the full-body support, adjustability, and extra room
- For those with shoulder and neck pain, it allows the hips, legs, and spine to be aligned
Coop Home Goods Original Travel & Camp Pillow
Specially crafted for those who love the outdoors but aren’t keen on roughing it, the Coop Travel & Camp Pillow is designed to offer hotel-level comfort, even when we’re in our sleeping bags!
It even comes with a compression sack, meaning it’s easy to shrink the pillow to almost half its original size, making it easy to pack or clip onto the back of your rucksack. There’s no need to worry about getting dirty or wet, as this pillow has an additional water- and dirt-resistant case.
Like many other products in the coop range, the travel pillow is designed to be medium-firm and customized to the user’s needs. This means adding more filling for a higher pillow or removing some for a lower pillow.
The travel coop pillow is also CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold certified and covered in the bamboo blend Lulltra fabric, which promotes breathability and coolness throughout the night.
Best suited to:
- Those looking for customized support and comfort when traveling
- Those who want to stay cool in hot climates
- Those who don’t want their adventures to interfere with their shoulder, back, neck, or hip pain.
Coop Home Goods Original Toddler Pillow
Another great pillow option from Coop Home Goods is the Original Toddler Pillow. At 19×15 inches, it is the perfect size for little ones sleeping in a toddler bed, yet it combines all the comfort and adjustability of the regular-sized option.
This pillow features the ability to remove and add the filling, which comes in handy because it can be altered to the needs of the child using it now as they grow. Thus, money is saved, and comfort and longevity of use are ensured.
The Coop Home Goods Original Toddler Pillow is super safe for kids. It contains no vinyl or PVC, is CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold Certified, and is hypoallergenic.
Best suited to:
- Children 2 years plus – because of the smaller size
- Kids still in toddler beds
- Kids that may have trouble sleeping through the night – adjustable for comfort
- Kids that run hot when sleeping – cooling fabric
- Messy kids ( aka normal kids) – the whole pillow is machine washable
Coop Home Goods Four Position Support Pillow
Wedge-shaped and measuring 17 x 6 x 5.5 inches, the four-position support pillow is a Coop Home Good product designed to relieve the pressure on your hips and back while sleeping or relaxing. Crescent-shaped, the foam inset is removable, so it’s easy to customize the pillow’s height for maximum comfort.
The Coop Home Goods Four-Position Support Pillow is multi-functional and lives up to its name. It is great at supporting knees for those lying on their backs and equally good at supporting your back when sitting. It’s also useful for raising the ankles or even using it as a wedge between the ankles when sleeping for maximum alignment and a great night’s rest.
It’s also safe to use because, like the Coop Home Goods range pillow, it’s covered in Lulltra fabric, which helps it stay cool. It’s also PVC or vinyl-free and CertiPUR-US Certified.
Best suited to:
- Side and back sleepers – because of the support they provide
- Pregnant women – who can use it to relieve pressure in a variety of areas as they rest or sleep
- Those with sciatica pain – because of the support and adjustability
Coop Home Goods Orthopedic Knee Pillow
Wedge-shaped, the Coop Home Goods Orthopedic Pillow is crafted to provide added comfort for those sleeping on their sides. Resting comfortably between the knees, the Orthopedic Knee pillow helps to align the spine, takes the pressure of your upper leg off your hip, and reduces back pain.
Crafted from memory and polyurethane foam, the CHG Orthopedic Knee Pillow is comfortable yet supportive and hypoallergenic. Great for sleep, this pillow can also be used when sitting or doing yoga.
Once again, this version of the CHG pillow has a washable cover designed to keep the user cool while they sleep or rest.
Best suited to:
- Due to the unique shape, this pillow is best suited for side sleepers, pregnancy, and maternity, as well as those struggling with pain, including:
- Back
- Hip
- Knee
- Cervical
- Nerve
- Osteoarthritis
- It is also ideal for those practicing massage or yoga.
100-Night Trial & 5-Year Warranty
Coop Home Goods Pillows come with a 100-night ‘love it or return it’ guarantee, offering customers a full refund if unsatisfied. This means testing them at home to see if they suit your needs. They’ll even cover the cost of returning the pillow to them in the contiguous US.
Coop Home Goods pillows are also covered by a 5-year warranty that allows customers to claim any defects appearing during that time. This further proves that Coop Home Goods wants nothing more than to make sure their pillow users are as happy as possible.
Consumer Reviews
When my husband called this the best pillow he’s ever had, I laughed and told him he was being dramatic. However, it has provided him with a comfortable night’s sleep despite his long-standing issues with neck pain, something that was previously keeping him up at night! I don’t even mind fluffing it daily, as it’s always gone back into shape and does the job.
Emma from Sussex / Coop Home Goods Pillow Original
This pillow is like putting your head on a cloud at night! It’s super comfortable, and my sleep has improved since using it. It also feels cold to the touch, although it doesn’t stay as cool as I’d like through the night. Yes, it was pricey compared to some of the other options, but I think it’s worth it.
Debbie S. From Philadelphia/ Coop Home Goods Pillow Eden
This is a review of two halves. The first thing is that the pillow itself is great. I removed some of the foam, and it’s so comfy and the perfect fit for me. This is no small matter because dining a body pillow that fits my frame was a REAL challenge.
However, what lets down this pillow is the smell! I wouldn’t use fabric softener to cover the smell, so it probably stayed longer than usual. I took it outside for a fortnight to air it out, and the smell eventually disappeared. Overall, the comfort was worth the small trade-off, which is not something I ever thought I would say!
Mandy from Northamptonshire / Coop Home Goods Original Body Pillow
While the quality and comfort of this pillow are fine, I expected it to be much lighter to carry than it is. To solve this problem, I was able to remove some more of the stuffing. However, I can’t help but think that those who are one-bagging it might struggle!
Barry from Wigan / Coop Home Goods Camping Pillow
As a grown-up on the smaller side, I love this pillow because it does not force my chin down to my chest during the night. The pillow is soft and has two cases – one that holds the filling, which you can adjust to your needs, and another softer one for the outside. It had a small smell at first but went away after a day. I prefer this to a memory foam pillow.
Gertrude from New York / Coop Home Goods Toddler Pillow
OK, buckle up because I’ve got many opinions on this pillow, and I will tell them to you. Starting with the negative, I’m not a big fan of the cover because it tends to get bobbly after use. This is disappointing because it’s not the cheapest pillow on the market, and the case should be better quality.
However, the money foam inside the cover is super comfy and provides good support under the knees. The cover also zips off, so I guess it’s not that big of a deal. You also get an extra piece of foam, which you can use to make the pillow even higher, which is a great way to ensure it fits your needs.
Vikram from Michigan says / Coop Home Goods 4 Position Support Pillow.
Not at all like the other too-hard pillows I have used for my knees. This one is soft and squishy and so comfortable to use. It adapts to your knees rather than feeling like a brick. It helps me sleep easier and stay asleep longer because I’m much more comfortable in bed than I used to be. The only issue I didn’t like was the clumping on the pillowcase.

Final Thoughts on Coop Home Goods Pillows
In summary, Coop Home Goods Pillows has a lot going for it. The first benefit is the massive selection on offer, while their products’ adjustability, safety, and comfort all run a close second.
Of course, like any business, they’re not without their issues, and as some consumer reports have mentioned, they do need to do something about the lingering smell on their pillows, especially as they are hypoallergenic and PVC and Vinyl, as this is an issue typical users will care about.
Then there is the issue with the camping pillow, which is reportedly a little heavy for those looking to take only a single bag on their trip, not to mention the bobbling on the knee pillow, which some customers have found frustrating.
However, as also reflected in the consumer reports, these issues are only a small aspect of an otherwise smartly designed pillow that can enhance the comfort and sleep quality of those who use it. Thus, on the whole, choosing to invest in a Coop Home Goods Pillows is a good one.
